1. Searching for you

My love for you

Stay in my arms forever and a day

Never leave me, never go away

Melt away, breathe my air

Closer now, I can smell your hair

Kiss me with your soft velvet lips

Closer to me with those goddess hips

Lose ourselves in our lovers embrace

Caressing your cheek, your pretty face

I stare into your beautiful eyes

Your crystal gaze leaves me hypnotized

Forever in your magnetic pull

Your skin so soft just like wool

Your beauty makes me want to melt away

My love for you now and every day

1. Searching for you

Beautiful moon

Why would you watch me?

I know you better than most

Although everyone gazes at you

I will not be thrown

We have had many a moment

Just you and I

Your beauty overwhelms me

Brings tears to my eyes

You can be blinding

As you light the path ahead

There is nowhere else to be

Nowhere else instead

As the stars vie for your attention

Flashing bright and true

You stare right through them

As constantly you do

Will you love me forever?

If I never look away

Tell me you’ll never leave me

And that you’ll always stay

Poem from my latest love poetry book searching for you

1. Searching for you · love

We hardly kiss goodbye

Talk to me softly

I can’t remember the last time

We had an intimate moment

Or shared a bottle of wine

To smile and laugh together

To hang on each other’s word

All this wanting

May seem to be absurd

We just need a little attention

To spark the match again

To go back to like before

When we were still friends

But all that being lost now

As we hardly kiss goodbye

All the time thinking

Why it is like this? Why?

1. Rhyming poetry to change your day

I’m your daddy

I’ve had the text from your mum

In two hours ends the fun

I’m doing the washing up

Thinking surely too much

Starting to regret and punish myself

I imagine it’s not good for my health

You’ve been with us for twelve days

You’re going through a phase

It seems you’ve been punishing us

Fits, tantrums, sulks and stuff

Whatever your six year old mind can find

What are you going to do this time?

It’s been so difficult looking after you

Not always knowing what to do.

With the baby here it’s been a big change

For you it has to be a little bit strange

We talk to you often, try to explain

You rolling your eyes, us explaining in vein

I want us to get along, all together

But you change your mind just like the weather

I ask myself what can I do?

What is needed to help you?

Although it’s difficult and you can make me sad.

I’ll always love you cause I’ll always be your dad

1. Rhyming poetry to change your day

Life sucks

When you’ve had a bad day

You wonder which way

To go in your life

Argued with the wife

Your kids hate you

It’s their point of view

That nothing is good enough

That’s the way it is. Tough!

Your job sucks like a wormhole

You don’t like your boss, arsehole!

You can’t find another job

Cause you’re a lazy slob

Bills just don’t stop coming in

Overdraft and credit cards sinned

Your car has broken down

Your face starting to frown

Your phone is almost flat

Forgot to charge, what a twat.

That’s it, decided to quit?

Look at yourself, stop being a dick

New work

I will remember him

I watched him pulling up in his expensive car

I had seen him driving slow from afar

I offered to clean, with my water and rag

The window opened and there was a young lad

He had a toy tractor, yellow and green

This amazing toy my eyes had never seen

He let me play with it for a second or two

He smiled at me, then offered it too

I was so happy, by this boy’s geste

I searched my affairs with behest

I shared a sweet that mother had made

He ate with me, it made my day

The car drove off, he waved goodbye

I will remember him, till the day I die

1. Rhyming poetry to change your day

My boss I hate you

Boss, we’ve all got one

Many of us are under the thumb

Let’s start with all the different types

Thoughtful, kind and sometimes nice

Controlling, demanding, asking a lot

Stressful, arrogant, losing the plot

It’s us doing the hours, working all day

While you’re chilling out, getting your pay

What do you actually do? I’ve not had my break!

Sitting there you, chilled, you great big mistake!

Look at all the work I have done for you

Thanks guy, I’ll pass it for mine, that’s true

There is one thing that I’d like to say to you….

You’re an arsehole, I quit, FUCK YOU
