Project 1

Cherished forever

Life was hard as it always had been

The couple dear as cute as could be

The darling girl perfect in every way

The loving guy doting forever each day

They loved each other so so much

Nothing could come in between

Blessed with all their time together

But everything was not as it seemed

For unknown to them all would change

As she was now with child

Feeling different, being sick

The journey would be wild

Doing three tests, covered in pee

She cried to herself on the floor

Thinking how would she tell her man

As she heard the keys in the door

Tears in her eyes as she looked at him

Scared from what might be

Reading her he knew at once

That their two would become three

She rushed to him into lovers embrace

To hold each other near

That feeling that they had right then

Would be cherished forever dear

1. Searching for you

My protection of you

I will protect you always

We will get through the maze

Nothing will harm you

My word is true

What ever it takes

What decision you make

I will be there

Because I care

I would lie for you

I would die for you

1. Searching for you

Forbidden fruit

.

Temptation, multiple senses

Magnetic pull

Forbidden fruit ripened

Salivating for a mouthful

Maybe the most delicious

Like you have never tasted

Dare to touch it?

Caress it’s curves?

Peel back the skin?

Reveal its naked flesh?

It could destroy you

With beautiful allure

Hypnotized by its aroma

Bewitched or cursed

Go on take a bite

1. Searching for you

I’m addicted to you

.

I’m addicted to you

Like you are a drug

To me you are everything

To me you are my love

I self emplode when you’re not around

I cannot live without your sound

It’s not important what we do

When together, when I’m with you

You make me sane

Your aura of calm

Soothes my eratic

Cocoon embalmed

Your voice so soft

Invade my ears

Give me my drug

Turn me to tears

Your arms surround me

Hold me near

A touch so loving

I forget all my fears

Project 1

Family has begun

Mum pushing hard, dad to the side

Breathing deep, worlds to collide

Head crowning, doctors in await

Towels ready, forceps in place

Baby arrives with all the mess

Screaming healthy, on mummas chest

Both crying, happiness and joy

This beautiful angel, hope for this boy

He quiets down, exhausted from the journey

Mum kisses his head, he whimpers quietly

She lays down her head, pillow so soft

Sleep envelops, raises her aloft

.

Dad breathes a sigh in awe and delight

This amazing world with this brand new life

Stepping out to take some fresh air

He inhales in, feeling so aware

That little soul reliant on him

Mother too, feels good within

He’ll always be there to serve and protect

His darling family, bewildingly perfect

What would he change? Nothing at all

In that hospital room, perfection so small

.

That first night as three, their own little room

Trying to feed him, over the moon

Milk going everywhere, never done this before

Feeling useless, this new never ending chore

Time for the burp, difficult to do

Not too hard, this will not do

A tiny tap, a little rub

And burp, the milk comes up

They look at each other, covered in sick

Then they burst out laughing, not caring one bit

As they cuddle each other, three as one

Family together, family has begun.

A new start

Hello all, how are you all doing?

Today is an interesting day. I have been woken up by our new kitten at 5 am for the third morning in a row. It is Monday. First day in my current job with a promotion. I am waiting to see what it entails and how the other members of staff will be with me.

I am now 38. Still English, living in france for 11 years. I am in my new job of 7 months as an outsider with experience and I am sure that the announcement today will put a few noses out of joint!

Has anybody else been in this position? I am however very eager to make the change and see what it brings. It feels so good after putting my career on pause for 11 years for the kids to learn a new language to do the accounts in another language and to learn a completely new position and to finally be noticed.

Wish me luck

1. Searching for you · love

We hardly kiss goodbye

Talk to me softly

I can’t remember the last time

We had an intimate moment

Or shared a bottle of wine

To smile and laugh together

To hang on each other’s word

All this wanting

May seem to be absurd

We just need a little attention

To spark the match again

To go back to like before

When we were still friends

But all that being lost now

As we hardly kiss goodbye

All the time thinking

Why it is like this? Why?

New work

Innocence

Good morning daddy

Please pick me up

Hold me tight

I love you so much

Good morning daddy

I love your eyes

What will we do today?

Is it a surprise?

Good morning daddy

Are you okay?

You’re not yourself

Can we play?

Good morning daddy

You’re coughing a lot

Drink some syrup

To make it stop

Good morning mummy

Where is daddy today?

Why are you crying?

Can we go play?
