1. Searching for you

We are a team

.

When I think of love

I look at others

What they have

In front of them

.

I think of us

What we are

How we live

And then

.

The days we pass

Together, apart

And all the

In between

.

Others perfect

Sure they have cracks

May be not

What they seem

.

We make it work

Through everything

Strong and the

Between

.

Our imperfections

Matter not

We are strong

And a team

1. Searching for you

Love for a poet

.

I hear you my dear, what you’re saying to me

You are my teacher, you are making me feel free

It is like a drug that I want more and more

Each time I see what you do and your lore

You insense me with literacy deeply fulfilling

Almost in jealousy at your words so thrilling

Are you calling to me? Are you just musing?

Am I imagining, winning or losing?

Your words filling my mind

Secret messages I try to find

This impulse, this feeling inside is ripping my heart out

Because I don’t know for sure and I need to shout

Thinking thoughts that should not be thunk

Hit so hard by your beauty I feel drunk

Maybe for now it is not the time

But rest assured you help me to rhyme

You inspired me before and you will again

Thank you for your kind words, rest a friend

New work

Innocence stolen

Why does sadness weep within my pores?

What ever I see is immediately absorbed

It seeps in deep and swallows me whole

Like a wormhole, nowhere to go

I ache for solitude, to be left alone

I can’t even return now, there is no home

Torn away, ripped as a page from a book

My innocence is gone, it has been took

1. Searching for you

The half that completes me

I miss you when you’re not here.

It’s all so quiet without you near.

I miss how we talk, how we get on.

Making you coffee, having a sing song.

Our little regards, our little lovers tiffs.

My forgetfulness, our lovers bliss.

You make me who I am, me to you too.

Our explosive couple, just us two.

At the end of the day you know how I feel.

I love you babe and always will.

1. Searching for you

I missed you

I missed you while you were away

I’m waiting to see you today

I’m looking forward to hugging you

Because 3 days really hasn’t flew

It’s been quiet here, alone in bed

Quiet each time I lie down my head

Coffee for one each morning just for me

No extra spoon of coffee, not to be.

It won’t be long, you’ll be here soon

I’m at the door, my heart going BOOM!

1. Searching for you

That first love…maybe

That first time when you’re young and you see a girl

Her beauty overwhelms you, and it hurts like hell

She’s so beautiful in your eyes

You steal glances, you’re magnetized

Wait till she’s not looking, looking away now

That innocent smile, oh my God, wow!

Do you dare talk to her? What do you say?

Go on, take your chance, maybe today?

He he hello how are you is what you could say?

But how would she react, would she stay?

Your eternal shyness is getting to you

Come on, just once, try and follow through

That first magical love could be right now

If you don’t try once, you’ll never know how.

1. Rhyming poetry to change your day

I dream of you

I have just one photo in my hand

Admiration for you as you stand

I’ve never talked you in front of me

You are perfect as can be

You cannot know me I don’t exist

We have never met, never kissed

You have your life I have mine here

It’s strange what I’m feeling, rather queer

You excite me by warming my blood

My emotions take hold and start to flood

How can you do this when we have never met

An impossible fact that I just cannot get?

You could be here or the other side of the world

Our paths would never cross, your beauty like a pearl

I can always wonder about about what it would seem

The moment we met and I awake from my dream

1. Searching for you

A teenage love

.

A teenage love

When I was young

I dated you

It was for fun

I was seventeen

Working too

You was fourteen

I didn’t know what to do

Friends can be cruel

And they got to me

Their taunts echoed

And we wasn’t to be

I split us up

I broke your heart

For those other people

It made them laugh

I regretted much

Of what I had done

You didn’t deserve

What had become

Years later we met

I made my peace

I showed you my poems

Which had set me free

You was cold

That I deserved

For all I had done

You didn’t accept a word

You walked out that day

You was right

You went out that door

And out of my life

That’s what you get

Peer pressure thump

Agony gets better

Face it, I was a chump

1. Searching for you

The one that got away

What’s in the box?

My recollections of you

Tears and sadness

Memories too

The days that passed

Daydreaming in the clouds

Dancing freely

You were my wow

You slipped through my fingers

My biggest mistake

I made my choices

Now it’s too late

My life in darkness

Regrets eat my soul

The day you left

Lost in a black hole

You thought only about you

For every little thing

That was your song

What you would always sing

I loved you

My heart always will

Torn out and crushed

So many tears spilt

The one that got away

You selfish inconsiderate one

Lessons learnt, scars for life

Even if I was just some fun
