My lost doggie

.

Oh where oh where

Could my little dog be?

Oh where could you be?

.

He’s little and white

And very light

Oh where oh where is he?

.

I’ve looked for miles

For whiles and whiles

He is nowhere to be found

.

He’s got a little bow

That sways to and fro

Oh where oh where could you be?

.

Into the park

And I hear a dog bark

Oh is it? Could it be?

.

I look all around

My dog I have found

With a branch under a tree.

10 months

Our little baby girl

In your little baby world

10 months passed so quick

We don’t regret one bit

You allume our day with your smile

Your blue eyes gleaming all the while

Play with your toys make a mess

Say our names our little princess

Make us feel better with a little hug

Show mummy and daddy your baby love

A little one

.

What would we do for them?

With their continuing innocence

Their regard always sweet

Always have their confidence

.

Sometimes shy not for long

Until they’ve assessed it all

That inquisitive behavior constantly

More than us even though they’re small

.

Testing all the time

To try and make us scream

A reaction is all they need

Your cracking at the seams

.

Jealousy is interesting

how they react

Another child comes along

Parents love still intact

.

A little cuddle here and there

So soft like it’s a dove

Their insecurities shining through

Cause they need to feel loved

Childhood

Different

I can’t speak but you can hear me

My silence

Scribbled numbers

Past present and future

A perfect world

I am safe

In my solitude

Dont touch me

I will scream

I can’t help it

I love you

It’s different

This is my way

I am happy

What did you believe?

.

I used to believe lots of things

If I dug in the garden I could have everything

Game boy games, a game boy too

Dig to China, or Australia woo

What did you used to believe?

Like Popeye, my brother and I ate leaves

I could smoke grass like tobacco

I could fly with a duvet, wooooaaa

My bike sounded like a motorbike

I could take off with my trike

When we’re kids we have so much imagination in us

Enjoy it while it lasts, stay innocent, it’s a great plus!

Childhood · depression · happy · Life

Solitary confinement

Some of us like to be alone
Time to process on your own

Not wanting to be around others

Feeling trapped, feeling smothered

It started when you was young

You never really did like fun

Bullied at school, always picked on

Just wishing that they would be gone

In college, things should of been different

But most of them were just ignorant

Work passes by, not many friends

Nothing much changes, same old trends

Didnt really like clubbing or drinking a lot

Dancing around badly, looking like a twot

Prefer your own company, just better like that

Prefer your solitary confinement, that’s just a fact

I'm part of Post A Day 2016

Childhood · depression · family · happy · Life · love

I’m your daddy

I’ve had the text from your mum

In 2 hours ends the fun

I’m doing the washing up

Thinking surely too much

Starting to regret and punish myself

I imagine it’s not good for my health

You’ve been with us for 12 days

And your going through a phase

It seems you’ve been punishing us

Fits, tantrums, sulks and stuff

What ever your 6 year old mind can find

What are you going to do this time?

It’s been so difficult looking after you

Not always knowing what to do.

With the baby here it’s been a big change

And for you it has to be a little bit strange

We talk to you often, try to explain

You rolling your eyes, us explaining in vein

I want us to get along, all together

But you change your mind just like the weather

I ask myself what can I do?

What is needed to help you?

Although it’s difficult and you can make me sad.

I’ll always love you cause I’ll always be your dad.
